A Collaboration with Highland Writing Instruments

As I had mentioned in a previous blog post, I have been working with a new collaborator to bring you one of my watches paired with something else. That ‘something else’ is a handcrafted fountain pen and handcrafted wooden box both made by Scott of Highland Writing Instruments. It is a little confusing that we’re both named Scott, but in the end it’s one of those little quirks that’s interesting about the finished product. And here it is:

– solid Canadian pine, teak stained, clear lacquer finish

– main tray wrapped in genuine calfskin

– brass fittings

– hardware fittings are rhodium/black titanium plated with guilloché pattern on finial and centre band

– German made 18k white gold nib

– 41mm stainless steel case

– dial made from fine silver with hand inlaid black Swiss super-luminova

– Swiss ETA 2824-2 partially skeletonized movement

– sapphire crystals(front and back)

– palladium plated movement ring hand decorated with a perlage pattern

– genuine crocodile strap with stainless steel dual deployment clasp

– 2 year warranty


Price for this one of a kind pen/watch set is $1600 + any shipping/taxes/duties. Its grand unveiling will be at this year’s One of a Kind Christmas Show and Sale which starts on November 28th.
